The detection performance of the HS-SCCH is determined by the probability of event Em, which is declared when the UE is signaled on HS-SCCH-1, but DTX is observed in the corresponding HS-DPCCH ACK/NACK field. The probability of event Em is denoted P(Em).

9.4.1 HS-SCCH Type 1 Single Link Performance

For the test parameters specified in Table 9.50, for each value of HS-SCCH-1 Ec/Ior specified in Table 9.51 and Table 9.51A the measured P(Em) shall be less than or equal to the corresponding specified value of P(Em). Enhanced performance requirements type 1 specified in Table 9.51A are based on receiver diversity.

For the test parameters specified in Table 9.55 with the downlink physical channel setup in Table C.12E, for each value of HS-SCCH-1 Ec/Ior specified in Table 9.57a, Table 9.57b, Table 9.57c and Table 9.57d, the measured P(Em) shall be less than or equal to the corresponding specified value of P(Em). The requirements in Table 9.57a and Table 9.57b assume STTD is disabled on HS-SCCH and DPCH. The requirements in Table 9.57c and Table 9.57d assume STTD is enabled on HS-SCCH and DPCH. The requirements in Table 9.57a and Table 9.57c assume HS-SCCH Type 3 coding associated with single stream transmission on HS-DSCH.
