7.2 Functional entities

7.2.1 User Equipment (UE)

For the purpose of session-mode messaging conferences, the UE shall implement the role of a Participant as described in clause 6.3.1 and the the procedures described in clause 5.2.1 in 3GPP TS 24.147 [10].

7.2.2 Media Resource Function Controller (MRFC)

For the purpose of session-based messaging conferences, the MRFC shall follow the procedures described in clause 5.2.2 in 3GPP TS 24.147 [10].

7.2.3 Conferencing Application Server (AS)

For the purpose of session-based messaging conferences, the AS shall follow the procedures described in clause 5.2.3 in 3GPP TS 24.147 [10].
