Figure 5.4.2-1 shows the relation between the Channel bandwidth (BWChannel) and the Transmission bandwidth configuration (NRB). The channel edges are defined as the lowest and highest frequencies of the carrier separated by the channel bandwidth, i.e. at FC +/- BWChannel /2.

5.4.2.1 Channel bandwidths per operating band

a) The requirements in this specification apply to the combination of channel bandwidths and operating bands shown in Table 5.4.2.1-1. The transmission bandwidth configuration in Table 5.4.2-1 shall be supported for each of the specified channel bandwidths. The same (symmetrical) channel bandwidth is specified for both the TX and RX path.

NOTE1: Refers to the bandwidth for which a relaxation of the specified UE receiver sensitivity requirement (subclause 7.3) is allowed.

NOTE2: For the 20 MHz bandwidth, the minimum requirements are specified for E-UTRA UL carrier frequencies confined to either 713-723 MHz or 728-738 MHz

NOTE3: refers to the bandwidth for which the uplink transmission bandwidth can be restricted by the network for some channel assignments in FDD/TDD co-existence scenarios in order to meet unwanted emissions requirements (subclause 6.6.3.2).

NOTE4: For the 20 MHz bandwidth, the minimum requirements are restricted to E‑UTRA operation when carrier aggregation is configured.

NOTE5: For the 15 MHz bandwidth, the minimum requirements are specified for E-UTRA UL carrier frequencies confined to either 705.5 MHz or 710.5-720.5 MHz

NOTE6: For the 20MHz bandwidth, the minimum requirements are specified for E-UTRA UL carrier frequencies confined to either 673-678 MHz or 683-688MHz.

NOTE 7: 7 This band is for standalone NB-IoT operation only. None of E-UTRA standard channel bandwidths is applicable

b) The use of different (asymmetrical) channel bandwidth for the TX and RX is not precluded and is intended to form part of a later release.
