15.2 CLIR
34.123-13GPPPart 1: Protocol conformance specificationRelease 15TSUser Equipment (UE) conformance specification
15.2.1 CLIR / Normal operation – requesting presentation of CLI
15.2.1.1 Definition
To test that when the CLIR presentation mode is temporary (presentation restricted), it is possible for the subscriber to present his CLI on a per call basis.
15.2.1.2 Conformance requirements
When the CLIR presentation mode is temporary (presentation restricted), it is possible for the subscriber to present his CLI on a per call basis. The MS shall send a CLIR suppression information element to the network.
If the subscriber tries to override CLIR (i.e. requests that the CLI is displayed), when he has subscribed to permanent mode a NotifySS shall be sent to the MS in order to inform that the override has not been performed and the call set-up shall continue.

15.2.1.3 Test purpose
To verify the ability of a UE to present his CLI on a per call basis when the CLIR presentation mode is temporary (presentation restricted).
15.2.1.4 Method of test
Initial Conditions
– System simulator:
– 1 cell, default parameters.
– User Equipment:
– the UE shall be in MM-state "Idle, updated";
Related ICS/IXIT Statements
Support of FDD Yes/No.
Support of CS speech Yes/No.
Support of MO circuit switched basic service Yes/No.
Support of Calling Line Identification Restriction Yes/No.
Test procedure
a) An MO CS (speech) service is selected that is supported by the UE.
b) Using MMI commands, the UE is made to initiate an outgoing call with CLI presented.
c) The UE after SECURITY MODE COMPLETE message shall send a SETUP message containing the CLIR suppression information element.

15.2.2 CLIR / Normal operation – requesting restriction of CLI presentation
15.2.2.1 Definition
To test that when the CLIR presentation mode is temporary (presentation allowed), it is possible for the subscriber to present the CLI on a per call basis.
15.2.2.2 Conformance requirements
When the CLIR presentation mode is temporary (presentation allowed), it is possible for the subscriber to restrict the CLI on a per call basis. The MS shall send a CLIR invocation information element to the network.
If the subscriber has not subscribed to CLIR and tries to invoke CLIR (i.e. requests that the CLI is not displayed), the SETUP shall be rejected. The MS and the network shall act in accordance with 3GPP TSĀ 24.008 network initiated call clearing procedure, see figure 2.2.
