The Update CSG Location procedure takes place when the SGSN/VLR needs to retrieve the CSG subscription information of the MS from the CSS.

1. The SGSN/VLR sends an Update CSG Location Request (SGSN/VLR Number, IMSI, MSISDN) to the CSS. The MSISDN is included if available.

2. The CSS acknowledges the Update CSG Location message by sending an Update CSG Location Ack (IMSI, CSG Subscription data) message to the SGSN/VLR.
